法國電視台 Canal+ 最近採訪孟山都說客Dr. Patrick Moore﹐他堅持說這除草劑農藥﹐與阿根廷的癌症劇升無關。當場夸言﹐說喝下一夸脫(0.946毫升)都沒問題﹐主持人當場說要提供給他喝﹐把他嚇壞了﹐當場翻臉。
精彩對話如下﹕
Dr. Patrick Moore: “You can drink a whole quart of (Roundup) and it won’t hurt you.”你可以喝一夸脫(這除草劑)﹐它不會傷害你
Canal+: “You want to drink some? We have some here.”你要喝一些嗎﹖我們這裡有一些。
Moore: “I’d be happy to, actually…. Uhh…Not.. Not really. But I know it wouldn’t hurt me.”我樂於如此﹐實際上 .... 呃 ... 不... 不是真要。但我知道它不會傷害我。
Canal+: “If you say so, I have some glyphosate, have some.”如果你這樣說﹐我有一些草甘膦﹐來一些吧。
Moore: “No. I’m not stupid.”不要﹐我不笨。
Canal+: “So, it’s dangerous, right?所以它是危險的﹐對不對﹖
Moore: “No, People try to commit suicide with it and fail; fail regularly.”不危險﹐人們用它來自殺然後失敗了﹔經常失敗。
Canal+: “Tell the truth, it’s dangerous.”講說實話﹐它是危險的
Moore: “It’s not dangerous to humans.”對人們不危險
Canal+: “So, are you ready to drink one glass?”所以﹐你準備好要喝一杯嗎﹖
Moore: “No, I’m not an idiot. Interview me about golden rice, that’s what I’m talking about.”
不要﹐我不是白痴。訪問我有關黃金米(基改米)的事﹐那是我要談的。
Canal+: “We did.”我們有這樣做。
Moore then abruptly ends the interview by calling the host a “complete jerk” and storms off.
說客摩爾突然起身﹐結束訪問﹐說主持人是"十足的混蛋"﹐衝出現場。
摩爾自稱是生態專家﹐在1970年代時幫綠色和平組織做說客﹐後來大轉彎﹐提倡伐木﹐核能﹐人工養殖鮭魚﹐塑料產品﹐採礦﹐基改食品。綠色和平與之劃清界限﹐認為他被收買了。
